With over 18 years in the game, Shane Beaumont has a reputation built on trust, consistency and innovation — and continues to evolve through the recent launch of Haiven Property. We sat down with Shane to talk career beginnings, standout service, and advice for other agents wanting to thrive in an increasingly competitive market.
How did your journey in real estate begin?
It all started in 2005 when a friend encouraged me to apply for a traineeship at a real estate agency. I went for it, got the job, and never looked back! That first year I sold 72 properties, which was a huge learning curve but also an incredible foundation. A lot of the disciplines and habits I still rely on today were formed during that time.
You’ve been named WA’s Most Recommended Agent six times in eight years, and consistently awarded as a REIWA Grandmaster Salesperson. What do you believe is the key to your success?
I place a massive emphasis on high-touch service — keeping clients informed at every stage of the sales process. No matter how many properties we’re handling, my team and I work hard to keep service levels high, and ensure each client feels supported and confident the whole way through.
That might mean a text, a call, an email, or catching up in person. Even when there’s no major news, just a quick check-in to see if there’s anything we can do for them. It’s those small touches that people remember and appreciate.
And of course, technology plays a role, but it’s a support act — not a replacement — for personal connection.
You’ve recently expanded into new areas with the launch of Haiven. How has that shaped your business?
It's given us much broader reach across Perth, with the renovation of our North office and a new office in Applecross in the South, joining our established and successful Subiaco office. Just in the past 12 months, we’ve sold in more than 136 suburbs.
What’s also been great is bringing on new agents from different areas. I’ve always believed that the best agents are not necessarily based in local offices where they sell, but are deeply connected to their communities they work in, they know the area, the people, and what matters most to them. We love being part of building that local presence with our teams.
What advice would you give to agents who want to stand out in today’s market?
Know your market better than anyone else. Being across local trends, stats, planning schemes, zoning — this knowledge gives you confidence, and that confidence builds trust with your clients. People want to know they’re working with someone who truly understands the area.
Next, invest in marketing that stands out. There’s a lot of noise in real estate, so if you can bring something fresh and creative to your campaigns, it gives you a competitive edge.
And finally - be real. Authenticity matters more than ever. With social media and reality shows not giving a true picture of what real estate is like, it’s refreshing when clients meet someone genuine, who’s in it for the right reasons. At the end of the day, our job is about helping people move forward, whether that’s buying their first home, upgrading, downsizing, or investing. It’s a privilege to be part of that.
Looking ahead, what are you most excited about?
The continued growth of Haiven is definitely something I’m excited about. We’re building something that’s built on values — service, connection, innovation — and that’s only going to get stronger.
There’s so much opportunity right now in the Perth market. With the right approach, agents can really create long-term success — not just by selling properties, but by becoming trusted advisors in their communities. That’s the kind of legacy we are aiming for at Haiven.
