If you are looking for a well appointed spacious home for permanent living or holidaying, then you need to inspect this home soon. It once was a cottage and around circa 2005 it was totally renovated and extended with a second storey. Then in 2016 and 2023 further extensive improvements were made turning it into a lovely family home.

From the ground floor entry, there is a very spacious open plan kitchen and dining area that extends onto a good sized, covered alfresco deck. Just off the dining area is a stairwell, which leads one step down into a fabulous 6m x 6m north facing sunken lounge/TV room/games room. On the same level as the dining area there is a short passage that leads to two double bedrooms with built in robes, a new bathroom, separate new toilet and refurbished laundry.

On the upper level is another sitting room, massive main bedroom with WIR and huge ensuite, and a large deck overlooking the river and ocean.

The landscaped, easy-care gardens are fully reticulated and vehicles can be parked under cover in the double carport as well as the new powered 7m x 5m lock up Colorbond garage. With absolutely nothing left to do on this fabulous home, you will have loads of time to do your favourite things, that is if you can extract yourself from the wonderful decks overlooking the ocean and river.

Located less than 500m from the famous Augusta Bakery and close to all town facilities, this property is in a fabulous position which suits both permanent or holiday living. Call now to make arrangements for a private viewing.

Augusta overview

The most south westerly town in the state, Augusta was named by Gov. Sir James Stirling in May 1830. Until 2003 it was thought the name honoured Princess Augusta Sophia, second daughter of King George III and Queen Charlotte. In 2003 the book "James Stirling - Admiral and Founding Governor of Western Australia" a letter by James Turner is referred to which states "a town is purposed to be built named Augusta, County of Sussex, in compliment to the Duke". Princess Augusta Sophia died unmarried, and the "Duke" is most likely the Duke of Sussex, Augustus Frederick (Hanover), the 6th son of George III. He married Lady Augusta Murray in 1793, but the marriage was deemed a violation of the Royal Marriage Act, and was declared null and void in 1794. Lady Augusta Murray is most likely the person after whom Augusta is named.
